What to expect in a Breathwork Session

Within a Breathwork session, I introduce simple concepts to help you better understand how the process of respiration unfolds, and how you can use the breath every day - as a conscious tool - to influence
​your energy level, mood, and overall wellbeing.

I will guide you through a selection of breathwork exercises that reflect your unique goals, whether that is better focus, emotional regulation, falling asleep with ease, or simply boosting your overall health. I'll also give you a couple take home exercises to build on the awareness you have gained, and help bring simple practices into your everyday flow.

Breathing practices have been a powerful guide in my personal healing journey and it’s been an honor to guide others through the process of release and transformation using breathwork.

What is Healing Breathwork?

Think of "healing breathwork" as your personal reset button. While there are some intense breathing methods out there, what I offer is different: gentle, supportive practices specifically designed to ease your mind and body.

If daily life feels overwhelming, anxiety is a constant companion, or you just struggle to switch off at night, then this is for you. These simple breathing techniques directly tap into your nervous system, specifically a key player called the Vagus nerve. Imagine it as the body's internal superhighway, connecting your brain to essential organs. It's the main switch for your "rest and digest" mode.

When we breathe slowly, deeply, and with a rhythm, we're essentially sending an "all clear" message through this central nerve. This tells your body it's safe to relax, triggering a wonderful chain reaction: your heart rate and blood pressure ease, that tight feeling of anxiety melts away, your digestion improves, and you naturally start to unwind for better sleep.

These gentle breath practices offer a simple yet profound way to tap into your body's natural relaxation response, bringing you back into a state of balance and well-being. I love to integrate simple breathwork cues into my bodywork sessions, and have witnessed the huge positive effect of combining conscious breathing with massage. Read my blog post here to learn more about my thoughts on that topic!

My own path to vitality through mindful breathing

​The subtle rhythm of the breath first captured my attention on the yoga mat, revealing a profound link between our inner world and this vital life force.

​Inspired by this initial connection, I embarked on a personal journey, discovering the remarkable capacity of conscious breathing to support emotional processing and well-being.
This exploration led me to the insightful teachings of Dan Brule and Kasper Van Der Meulen, whose online courses illuminated breathwork as a tangible and empowering tool we can access every day. 

​Their perspective – that our breath is a key to consciously shaping our physiology, energy levels, and overall health – has become a cornerstone of my own practice and my passion for sharing this transformative work with you.

Innersculpt Workshops
Conscious Connection Through Mindful Movement, Breathwork, and Play!

Innersculpt workshops are an opportunity for inner exploration, accessible to people of all abilities and backgrounds. A mindful collaboration of movement, breathwork, and play invites you to explore your senses through posture, games, and meditation, while using the breath as a tool to release stress and access different states of awareness.

This intro into mindfulness teaches you breathwork exercises that can be
integrated into your everyday life. The class weaves together elements of yoga, somatic experiencing, and guided visualization.
