Thai MassageThai massage includes passive stretches, rhythmic pressure, and point work along sen lines. While working with the physical body, through the muscles, joints, and connective tissue, the therapist also addresses the energy body through rhythmic contact, energetic presence, and deep listening. Clients often notice a feeling of renewal and awakened energy.
Sessions are performed clothed on a mat on the floor. Please wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. I recommend long sleeves and pants to keep your temperature comfortable. During the session I will guide you to use your breath in coordination with the movements, as an invitation to bring the work more deeply into your being. |
You do not need to be especially flexible to receive the benefits of Thai massage. I will always approach a bodywork session with each individual, as they are, in the moment. I believe that receiving touch is a process of educating, recalibrating, and reawakening parts of our selves; physically, emotionally, or spiritually. It is a gift and a sacred experience to hold safe space for someone's energetic unwinding and realigning. A key element of Thai massage as it is traditionally practiced, is the commitment of the practitioner to embody a state of Mettā loving-kindness. A meditation on health, peace, and well being towards ourselves, others, and all that is.
